"Carlos Galan, who now owns the Subterfuge Records, has brought Green Day to Madrid for the first time. 'Since they were relatively unknown there, we made Green Day open for The Meteors, a psychobilly band, for about 150 people at the Revolver. Everyone was there to see The Meteors, but Green Day stole the show. We gave them 5,000 pesetas, which were spent on Malasaña beer and petas.' A few years later, Green Day were selling out stadiums."
