Show Notes: dpedley: "I went to school here, PVHS (Pinole Valley High) in the SF Bay Area. The year before this 1989 they played on the holiday Earth Day (I think in mid-April) and the way I remember it they didn't have a name at the time. When I later saw them play as "Green Day" I always hoped they gave themselves the name when I saw them on Earth Day."
