We were all grossed out when somebody from their entourage ran up and french-kissed Billie Joe. Little did we know that they would skyrocket to fame a short time after! I still kick myself for not recognizing million-plus record selling talent when it was right there in the raw! Who would have known?"

Justin: "Or there was Green Day playing Santa Rosa High with the puppet named Gravey."

Randall Little: "I remember one day they played during the teacher protest / student walkout. It was awesome!"

BiologyAndMTBing: "I still have this VHS video of Green Day playing at Santa Rosa High School in 1991. Anyone know how to convert VHS to digital video?"

J. D. Clem: "I have a a VHS video of them at Santa Rosa high that I'm pretty sure is yours, Gabe. You and Jodie took turn holding the mic because there was no stand."

Toni Stelzer: "I remember when Green Day played at my high school [Santa Rosa High School] at lunch when I was a senior in 1991... That was so freaking awesome..."

Justen Willis: "Sometime between '89-'91, Green Day on the quad stage (senior steps) at Santa Rosa High School. After their set, Billie Joe walked over and kissed the drummer..."

Brian Capell: "1991 at Santa Rosa High. They stormed off early, because people were chucking cherries from the tree behind the lawn. Apparently, were more punk than they were!"
